A “chu chut” (cha-choot) is a Cajun thingamabob. When Maw Maw’s making gumbo and can’t remember what a dutch oven is called, she might wag her finger towards it and ask you to grab the chu chut. Your Parrain (godfather) might call every single part a chu chut when he’s telling you how to repair your boat. When the name of something evades you, chu chut does the work for you.
The Gros Chu Chut is a wonderfully simple design that is unlike most inserts. With the bowl positioned at the top, the smoke comes down the tube then around small, solid coils.
